i can't believe that worked!

A couple of weekends ago we found that our eggplants were covered and flea beetles and most of the leaves were so eaten-through that they were like lace.  So, after a little internet research (yikes!) we went out and killed as many of the bugs as we could by hand.  We made a few passes throughout the day, then we covered the plants with a cloth row cover (which is what we should have done as soon as we transplanted them).  When we peeked under the cover this weekend the difference was amazing.  Hardly any damage to the new leaves at all.  We win!
