Farm News
Hot. The main priority around the farm this week has been to keep everything from wilting. That means diligent irrigation, hand watering younger plants and putting up shade cloth over the greenhouse. The heat also brought our first tomatillos to maturity, so we’re excited to share those with you this week.
Recipes
The little green lettuces in your shares are Little Gems, perhaps the most delicious of all the lettuces. They make a great salad and add a refreshing crunch to sandwiches.
It may be impossible to get bored of pesto, but just in case, this Five Herb Pesto recipe adds a couple of twists. Throw in some sage from your share too.
