Growing Heart Farm has a mission to connect its guests to a sustainable and conscious lifestyle. We provide a special flavor of rustic outdoor farm weddings.

The Grounds
Growing Heart Farm is located on 41 acres in the Harlem Valley of upstate New York.  The event grounds are nestled between mixed vegetable farm fields and forest.  There are numerous special and sacred spots to be discovered around the grounds.  See map

The Farm
We farm… and its hard work.  And we love to serve our veggies to guests.  The footsteps of our guests are the fertility of this land.  Thank you for supporting our sustainability with your visit.  

Catering & Crew
We have a team of heart centered professionals with whom we regularly work to handle planning, catering, music, entertainment, photography, decoration, etc. We are friendly to DIY events and we have vendor recommendations to complement your team.  

Outdoor Chapel
An eastern facing natural amphitheater with an altar hand crafted out of stone can seat up to 200 people on log benches.

Event field
Centered around a heart shaped fire circle this field houses a whimsical DJ booth and stage and is a great spot for an outdoor or tented reception.

Farm field
Bordering our veggie fields and adjacent to the event field this is a great spot for up to a 45×65 sail tent to dine in literal “table on farm” style.  

Pine field
This field is shaded by old pines and borders the Growing Heart beach.  Labelled on map as “quiet camping” this field opens out onto the orchard and has a magic rolling feel.  

We have a few smaller tents and will coordinate with vendors to place the appropriate tents.  

The yoga bridal suite
This floor makes a perfect bridal suite.

The Farm house
This is included in all rentals and can house the newlyweds or immediate family or be used as a base of operations for catering.

The Barn
While our barn is shared between chickens and vegetable production it does house two outdoor bars.  

Papa Oak Fire Circle
Down a winding path in the woods is a 300 year old Oak tree which presides over a small clearing with a rustic fire circle.

GHF Pond
This is coming online for 2017 and while there is a white sand beach the adjacent landscaping is scheduled for late spring readiness.  The newly regenerated pond has promises to be quite picturesque.  

Accommodations & Camping
This link is a collection of neighboring and local accommodations.  Onsite camping facilities can host full wedding parties with rainwater fed outdoor showers, an outdoor kitchen, and hand crafted composting toilets.  

There are two field parking areas and an overflow adjacent field for larger events.   Weddings over 100 need to hire a parking attendant or greeter for the 4 hours pior to event.  A paved parking area works well for train shuttle parking & turnaround.

Guests can come and go freely from the Metro North train line to Grand Central Station.  

The farm is serviced by composting toilets with running water.  For larger weddings we can complement with portable restrooms for an additional fee.  

Set-Up and Break-Down
All setup and breakdown should occur within the 3 day rental period.  Special arrangements may be made for tent installation and breakdown.  

Can be scheduled any time during the 3 day rental.  

All amplified music must be off by  midnight.  After this hour we ask for noise levels to remain respectful to our pastoral setting, however, it is fine to “make”  music.

We price per guest based on the impact on the land and the resources each guest will use.

Basic Pricing Includes

  • Full use of of farm house and event grounds – including camping – for 3 days.  
  • Tent setup & breakdown can be coordinated before and after event.
  • A dedicated facilties manager will be onsite to liason and help event staff.
  • House and grounds must be left “broom clean” and in the same shape it is received.  
  • Onsite trash disposal and recycling is provided.

Payment Schedule
Reservations are confirmed with a 10% non-refundable deposit.  

The balance of the event rental plus a 15% refundable security deposit is due 30 days prior to event date.
